Latest Launch: Associated Otolaryngologists of Pennsylvania, Inc.

E-dreamz is excited to announce the latest healthcare website launched on our Remedy CMS platform. Associated Otolaryngologists of Pennsylvania, Inc. (AOP) is a premier ENT  medical practice located in Hershey, PA. The AOP website design project was a fun and challenging job for our team. Our solution for AOP involved medical website design & development, healthcare SEO & content strategy, as well as technical support related to AOP's domain and DNS.

Project Overview

AOP's previous website ran on a platform designed for dental websites that was lacking in the features and functionality AOP needed to effectively manage their ENT healthcare website. In looking for a more robust healthcare-focused website management platform that offered more control, better scalability and enhanced marketing tools, they found our Remedy CMS platform. We were excited for the opportunity to show AOP what Remedy could do for their brand. We overhauled their entire content structure and patient experience by transforming the askaop.com website into a modern, enterprise-class, fully-featured healthcare website that is now primed for future growth. The project involved website design, CMS customization, content analysis, SEO, compliance auditing, and technical consultation.

Platform Configuration

As a large, multi-location ENT group with numerous providers operating in subspecialties of otolaryngology, audiology, and other hearing related fields, the AOP website needed to organize and present a large volume of condition, treatment and procedure information to prospective patients. The various ENT services and associated providers of those services needed to be properly categorized and interconnected throughout the website's content pages. Our Remedy CMS platform is highly customizable, and through our custom component builder, we were able to easily add new fields, tags, categories, associations and data sets to AOP's locations, services and providers web pages. This allowed us to separate out AOP's care team by role, specialty or provider type. We then further customized our content controllers for services pages, resources and media to build a tailored solution that was spec-built for AOP's content. We followed up the configuration and content optimization with a comprehensive SEO overhaul that fixed many errors and issues present on their previous website.

Technical Support

One of the unique challenges with this project was helping AOP gain direct ownership of their domain name and DNS. AOP's previous web vendor had registered their domain name on their behalf, so that ownership of the domain lied with the agency instead of with the practice. This is unfortunately a common occurrence that creates a bit of headache when transitioning websites and/or vendors. E-dreamz always recommends that any business or healthcare practice register and own their domain names themselves directly through a registrar account they have access to. In AOP's case, our technical team helped map out and explain the ownership of the domain and DNS, talked AOP through how to request and initiate the transfer of the domain, recreated and replicated all DNS records for AOP, and ensured that now and going forward an administrative or IT resource at the practice will retain full control over their domain and DNS.
